Jeju scraped through to the last sixteen of the FA Cup after beating a resolute Gangneung side on penalties. United will now face Busan in the second round on 1st July.

In a dire game witnessed by possibly a record low crowd of around a hundred people, Gangneung City spent most of the 90 minutes with eleven men behind the ball, daring Jeju to come at them and create opportunities. As has often been the problem this season, Jeju simply couldn't make their possession count and never really looked like scoring.

Arthur Bernardes fielded a surprisingly strong side for the game, however the players were clearly thinking ahead to Sunday's must win match against Daejeon Citizen. The team mainly avoided going in for 50-50 challenges and played the entire game at an unusually slow pace.

With the sole notable effort of the match having been Oveira's second half goal which was rightfully disallowed for offside, it was a long ninety minutes.

The penalty shoot out was exciting with Jeju scoring all five of their spot kicks with Oveira's sealing the victory.

Next up is Daejeon on Sunday with a win absolutely vital for Jeju's league ambitions.
